Many of us have heard about the horrible mass shooting that occurred on May 24 in Uvalde, Texas, United States, which left 19 students, and two teachers dead. What makes the situation even more tragic is the fact that this year alone, within just six months, there have been 27 school shootings in the US.

If we put together all incidents from the last four years, the number is 119—one hundred and nineteen.

Of course, the US is not the only place where shootings happen. In the United Kingdom, the last school shooting was almost as deadly as the one in Texas—it just took place nearly three decades ago.
